Definitely NOT a 4 star hotel and definitely NOT worth the money. This hotel does not live up to Embassay's reputation and standards. From the dimly lit rooms, cheap linens, and poor maid service, to the lack of adequate elevator service, I was hugely dissapointed. Waiting 20-30 minutes just for a elevator was the average (only 4 elevators that held a max of 5 people at a time for 10 floors/400 suites resulting in standing with 50-100 impatient people trying to get anywhere). Most of the hotel staff were uninformed young foreign college students who barely spoke English, were disorganized and very inefficient. A VERY tedious experience. Pass this one by until they get their act together and can live up to Embassy Suite's normal class of service.

This is where I always stay in South Lake Tahoe. On one side of the hotel are the casinos. On the other side of the hotel is a tram to take you straight to Heavenly Ski Resort. Its incredibly nice to go skiing during the day, and then come back to a free afternoon happy hour, and then relax in the clean, warm room, or go for a swim. Of course, its very friendly for kids too. No complaints about this hotel.

Excellent location! Within steps of the Nevada border and casinos. Two room suites and free full breakfast too.
